HP DesignJet 800 and HP 800 PS Print E-mail

At last you can have a single printer which renders CAD and GIS, with photo-realistic quality. 2400 dpi on photo glossy paper is the technological accomplishment for the HP DesignJet 800 and HP 800 ps, the new generation of color inkjet plotters from Hewlett-Packard. Now you can do CAD, GIS, and computer generated drawings at photo-realistic quality. If your competitors are using an older Encad, Canon, or even an older HP 430, HP 750, you can win the competition based on the eye-catching quality of the 2400 dpi from the HP 800ps.

Many people have e-mail ed us at FLAAR asking for our reviews on these printers. We therefore went to inspect them in greater detail during five days of the Photokina tradeshow in Cologne, Germany. We liked what we saw so ordered an HP 800ps for the FLAAR evaluation facility at Bowling Green State University . The university’s architectural department makes use of the printer and we in turn make use of their experiences and opinions of it in our reports.

Many architects, engineers and other professionals who work with monochrome drawings are still using xerographic copiers , such as Xerox, or other traditional reprographic equipment like Dietzgen, Ozalid, Minolta, Mita, 3M, OCE, Shacoh, and Bruning. Since many people wish to continue with monochrome technology we will be adding reviews of this kind of printer.

We at FLAAR only recommend HP dealers whom we know, and whom we trust. ColorDNA can provide HP printers nationwide. They specialize in HP DesignJet printers for signage, CAD, GIS, photos, and general applications.
