Nicholas Hellmuth reviews the Gandinnovations Jeti 3324 UV RTR roll-to-roll UV-cured inkjet printer

The roll-to-roll Gandinnovations Jeti 3324 UV RTR roll-to-roll UV-cured inkjet printer was simultaneously introduced at ISA ’06 trade show in Orlando and at IPEX trade show in England.

Gandinnovations Jeti 3324 UV RTR roll to roll UV cured inket printer Reviews and Evaluations

We will have our evaluations and review of the Gandinnovations Jeti 3324 UV RTR roll-to-roll UV-cured inkjet printer in the FLAAR Reports as soon as possible. But some notes we can offer now. The first ink used was too matte; this was the ink used at ISA ’06. The newer inks used by Gandinnovations are brighter and not as matte either (overall greatly improved).

In the meantime, a useful tip comes from Hary Gandy: “One big advantage for screen printers, is if they are using uv screen inks, when they switch to

our 3324, they can continue using the same media. This is a big advantage over solvent.”

This Gandy roll-to-roll printer competes with the NUR Expedio 3200 and the Durst Rho 351R (which replaced the Durst Rho 350R).

Gandinnovations is selling one UV Jeti every week, which is as fast as they can currently manufacture them. The Gandy printer has fared well in two FLAAR Reports: our evaluation and a site-visit case study. The owner was very content both with the printer, with tech support, and with the Gandy company.

In the meantime, there is a new FLAAR Reports on all the UV printers we inspected at ISA 2006 trade show in Orlando , with comparative comments on what was exhibited at IPEX the same week in England. We have lots of reports on 2007 trade shows as well.

The new FLAAR Reports on UV printers at FESPA Digital trade show in mid-May is now being issued as well. All of these reports are available on www.wide-format-printers.NET in the link at the right to UV printers.

Current Gandinnovations roll-fed model is the 3348 UV RTR

To increase speed the current model of the Gandinnovations Jeti UV RTR is called the “3348” because it has 48 Spectra printheads.

Most of our updates for 2008 onward are in FLAAR Reports in Adobe Acrobat PDF format. It is more efficient for us to make new information available in PDF format. So if the web page itself is not updated, check out www.wide-format-printers.NET to see if the printer, RIP, or other subject is covered in an update in a PDF download.
