FLAAR Reports:

Site-visit case study of Luscher JetPrint 3530 UV-cured flatbed printer

Although we see the Luscher JetPrint 3530 at trade shows in Germany and the US , the best way to learn about this printer is to find a print shop that owns this printer. Then ask them point blank:

  • Is this printer any good?
  • The advertisements claim various things; are the ads true, or misleading?
  • Are you making money with this printer?
  • Would you recommend this printer now that you have experience with it?

So we spent hour upon hour at a print shop, asking scores of questions about their Luscher JetPrint 3530 flatbed printer. The entire interview, the conclusions, and photographs of the kinds of applications printed are all in the new FLAAR Reports on the Luscher JetPrint 3530.

  • What kinds of applications does he use the Luscher for?
  • What unique applications has he developed?

It sure helps to know, in advance of writing out a check for $600,000+, what you can expect.

Luscher JetPrint UV flatbed printer

We have now seen this printer countless times at trade shows. More importantly, we have kept our ears open to learn about what it is really like to own one. This we discuss in our new additional second site-visit case study of the Luscher JetPrint UV-curable inkjet flatbed printer.

Yes, after visiting a Luscher printer in Europe we found one in the USA and visited it.

As you would expect from FLAAR, we have tidbits of information that are not in the spec sheet. If you are about to spend half a million dollars, you will appreciate the effort we have made to produce two reports on the Luscher: our detailed evaluation, and also an additional report, our site-visit case study of a print shop owner that we know. He kindly allowed us to spend hours in his print shop inspecting the machine. He told us what it is really like to own a Luscher product.

Comparing the Luscher Jet Print with a Gandinnovations Jeti 3150

If you are considering a Luscher, you may also have looked at a Gandinnovations Jeti 3150, a NUR Tempo, Inca Columbia, Inca Spyder 320, or other comparable flatbed printers.

Or you may be considering a Vutek PressVu 200 or a Durst Rho 600. FLAAR Reports are available on each and every one of these printers.

You can spell it Lüscher, Luescher or the Americanized way, Luscher.

Site-visit case studies of other UV printers

We have evaluations of 90% of the UV printers that exist (missing only the Scitex VEEjet because not many people ask about this, as it is rather old). An evaluation is the personal scrutiny of Nicholas Hellmuth looking at the printer year after year at trade shows and harvesting information that comes to FLAAR from a myriad of sources.

On top of the evaluations, when it is possible, we undertake a site-visit case study. We have these available on the

And now two separate site-visit reports on the Luscher JetPrint.

The main question to ask, if you are considering one of these impressive Luscher printers is, why was no JetPrint exhibited at ISA '07, the largest UV printer event in North America?

And at FESPA '07, why was no Luscher printer at this major international fair, the largest in Europe this year?

In the three FLAAR Reports on the Luscher UV flatbed (two separate site-visit case studies and one general overview evaluation) we take what we learned from the two end-users who actually had the face the reality of owning this $650,000+ giant and we make common-sense observations on what are the major issues.

And a question that many printshop owners and shop managers are increasingly asking is, should you buy one single printer for half a million, or two separate printers for a quarter million? This is why FLAAR now offers consulting services for screen printing companies, photo labs, printshops, franchise sign shops, and family owned sign shops.
