GRAPO Octopus II is an intelligently designed combo-style UV printer
The current model of GRAPO Octopus, the “II”, has many features which make it better than any earlier version. First, the II uses KonicaMinolta printheads, which are significantly better than the older Xaar 500 heads used by the original Octopus years ago.
The cooling system is improved as well, so not as much chance of a melt-down.

I inspected the original Octopus X4 at DRUPA 2004, inspected a better version at the GRAPO factory in 2006, and during summer 2008 had the opportunity to test the GRAPO Octopus II at the factory demo room over a several day period.
Since there is now an updated FLAAR Report in preparation, it is easier to download the entire report rather than repeat our conclusions on this web page.

GRAPO has been successful in Europe and around the world, but only this year have they decided to enter the US market. So you can look forward to seeing all their printers at SGIA 2009 this October.
