VanSon inks
What ink for your large format printer? Pigmented or dye base? What about longevity, archival inks? Eventually you may wish to try out after-market inks for your wide format Epson, Roland, ColorSpan, Encad, Mutoh, or Mimaki printer. There is even after-market ink for the Hewlett-Packard 2000 and HP DesignJet 3000 series printers. VanSon has been making ink in Europe for over a century. Thus you can expect that VanSon knows inks, and color, and printing inside out. Last year VanSon launched its digital ink division to provide better inks for inkjet printers in general and large format inkjet printers in particular.
You can easily obtain VanSon inks for all Encad printers. Inks for HP printers should be ready before the end of the year. Check the VanSon ink web site for the list of other printers as VanSon inks become available (such as for the Epson 9000, the new Epson 7000, etc.).What other inks are out there? We describe inks for fine art giclee printing on www.FineArtGicleePrinters.org, inks such as Lyson and others. Ilford Imaging makes Archiva Extreme inks. Ilford inks have a good reputation for lasting a long time even in a sunny window.
