Huge market continues for large format inkjet prints for decoration

The decor market for hotels, cruise ships, restaurants, offices, and for home decor has opened up large opportunities for any print shop who owns a wide format inkjet printer.

One of many advantages of serving the decor market is that their quality demands are not quite as high as for fine art giclee. So if you desire to succeed in the giclee market, try starting off first in the décor market and learn everything there.

You need to know about:

  • Wide format equipment (the printers)
    • You can select printers for photographs
    • Or printers for fine art giclée (either is just fine; they are similar applications)
  • Media (paper, canvas, vinyl, silk, cotton and everything else you can print on)
  • The software which runs these printers: RIPs
  • Most importantly, you need to survive the advertising hype of the printer manufacturers.

Everyone has somewhere to decorate, so whether its wallpaper, wall hangings, drapes, shower curtains or paintings on canvas, its all printable with today's wide format inkjets. You just need the recipes, the instructions, tips, and help which are packed into the FLAAR Reports.

Most of our updates for summer 2007 onward are in FLAAR Reports in Adobe Acrobat PDF format. It is more efficient for us to make new information available in PDF format. So if the web page itself is not updated, check out www.wide-format-printers.NET to see if the printer, RIP, or other subject is covered in an update in a PDF download.
