Dilli Neo Titan Combo printer Print

A Promising Wide-Format UV Printer with Different versions for Different Need

Dilli (in Korea, a company associated with D.G.I.) makes a diverse variety of UV-cured inkjet printers. Their main printer models have been shown for many years. This is now rebranded by Agfa as the Agfa :Anapurna M printers.

The Neo-Titan is Dilli’s affordable UV printer that is targeted mainly for those print service providers who have produced output with eco-solvent printers and want to expand their services toward the rigid board market.

Over the past years Dilli has launched a number of variations of the Neo-Titan to have a more precise offer for each demand. The following chart lists the specs of those variations:

reviews of the Dilli 1606uv Neo Titan flatbed printer
The actual Dilli Neo Titan 1604D UV combo printer was exhibited at APPPEXPO Shanghai trade show, 2009.

A combo printer is one with a transport belt; a hybrid UV printer is one with a platen, grit rollers and pinch rollers. As you can see, all of the variations of the Dilli Neo-Titan, are combo printers, except for an Agfa :Anapurna model exhibited recently that is based on the chassis of the Neo Titan, but is in fact a dedicated flatbed printer.

But Dilli also makes some smaller and more unusual models, which are rarely seen. The Dilli Neo Jupiter was shown their Dilli Neo Venus has not yet been seen in the US. Now, their Dilli Titan appeared in the Dilli booth and the same printer with different colors also in the Agfa booth.

Prices: As expected, the price varies from model to model, but to have an idea of the price range, the Dilli Neo Titan 1604D-WD is US$120,000, and the Neo Titan UV 1604-DW is US$110,000

Agfa rebrands this new model of Dilli printer as the :Anapurna M

At first Agfa showed nary an image of this new UV flatbed combo printer on their web site. But it is clearly a Dilli. But even without the give-away belt, Agfa is not a manufacturer or patent holder of wide-format inkjet printers (other than their UV ink and experiment with eco-solvent inks). Agfa bought the :Dotrix technology from another company.

Since access to documentation from Agfa has been uneven, I appreciate the access to this Dilli printer through ACCI, who now sells the Dilli original for $5000 less than the Agfa version.

The FLAAR Report discusses both the Agfa :Anapurna M and the Dilli Neo Titan 1606uv together, and indicates their similarities and differences, pros and cons.
