Course material on UV-curable flatbed and UV-cured roll-to-roll printers and applications, for on-line or Distance Learning courses
The FLAAR material is available for on-line, distance learning, or traditional classroom courses by universities, colleges, community colleges, institutes, trade associations, or other groups interested in providing public education on UV-curable inkjet printing.
There is probably currently no course anywhere in the world on UV-curable inkjet printing. Since DRUPA 2008 offers so much material, this is an ideal locus for gathering material to update this course.
Since FLAAR is independent, this course material is available for your campus. You can either purchase a site-license (and have your own faculty give the lectures) or you can bring Dr Hellmuth to your campus to present his course in person. The material is especially useful for training-the-trainers. In other words, Nicholas can train your faculty so that in future years they can teach this course on their own. The material can be licensed for more than one year.

FLAAR is a non-profit research institute located in St Louis, Missouri and other in Guatemala. Professor Hellmuth has lectured on digital imaging at the University of Malta (on the island of Malta), at Universidad Francisco Marroquin (Guatemala), at BGSU (Ohio), at Japan's National Museum of Ethnology, as well as given individual lectures at St Louis Community College, Applachian State University, the University of Zagreb (Croatia) and a two-day symposium on UV-curable printers to about 350 students at the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia).

• Two visits, each of several days, to ink labs, R&D facilities, demo room, factory of NUR (Tempo Q, Expedio 3200/Inspiration, Expedio 5000/Revolution), now HP Scitex.
• Three visits to VUTEk world headquarters, including factory and demo room
• Several days at IP&I Cube factory
• Two days at Dilli R&D technology research facility, factory, demo room (including visit to D.G.I. R&D and new factory)
• Several days at GCC factory and world headquarters in Taiwan
• Visit to Teckwin factory outside Shanghai
• Inspection of factory and demo room of Infiniti (Honghua factory)
• Inspection of Mimaki USA facilities and demo room in Atlanta, Georgia
• Two days at Zund 215 and Zund 250 factory in Switzerland
• Three visits to Raster Printers demo room in California
