    Sign making layout software

Sign making layout softwareThe traditional graphics design layout software such as Adobe PageMaker and Quark Xpress are not adequate for signmaking layout software. You can only handle about 44 inches in size, not much towards a billboard. Adobe InDesign goes up to 18 feet but has a numbing learning curve, even for proficient PageMaker users. Thus the FLAAR team is gradually searching for better software with which to design posters, murals, and banners.

We just got an e-mail from someone who had bought one of these packages, I believe Flexi.... and was led to believe it would run several printers. It evidently was unable to do this. Check out SignLab, from CADlink. CADlink is a well known company. Tel USA 800 545 9581, in Canada 613 247 0850

Most of our updates for summer 2007 onward are in FLAAR Reports in Adobe Acrobat PDF format. It is more efficient for us to make new information available in PDF format. So if the web page itself is not updated, check out www.wide-format-printers.NET to see if the printer, RIP, or other subject is covered in an update in a PDF download.
