Which digital imaging or printer tradeshow? Seybold San Francisco, SGIA, or some other one? Print E-mail

Is going to a tradeshow a good way to learn about large format inkjet printers? To find out FLAAR editors attended Seybold San Francisco several years, SGIA, B.I.G., BigPicture Show and Conference, ISA, PhotoExpoEast, and also DRUPA, Photokina, CeBIT (all in Germany), and even a sign tradeshow in Mumbai, India.

If you wish to know more about any tradeshow, contact us, and ask for your free report.

So what digital imaging and large format inkjet printer tradeshows does FLAAR recommend?

We recommend you attend PMA, DPI, Seybold, B.I.G. or the Big Picture Show. We intend to check out Graphics of the Americas 2003 to see if their exhibitor list is more honest. However if you are from Latin America, and need to buy products to import into your country, you are stuck with Graphics of the Americas 2003. The reason is that each company has its Latin American managers and personnel at Graphics of the Americas. You won't find these key people at PMA 2003, SGIA 2003, ISA 2003, or Seybold 2003.

Some tradeshows include lectures. If there were any at Graphics of the Americas either they were too sales oriented or we simply did not notice them. We only like educational lectures such as those offered by IMI Maine or the Tiara Group.

Evaluations and comparisons among the various tradeshows (which tradeshows are worth going to) is provided in the FLAAR First Level Reports on tradeshows. FLAAR senior editor just attended the best IMI conferences, filled with information, great opportunity to meet people who can answer all your questions on printers, inkjet media, inks, RIPs, and everything else you need help on. Just send the Inquiry-Dialog form to the FLAAR staff and they will send you back the pertinent FLAAR reports within 48 hours in convenient Adobe Acrobat PDF download format.
