Flora F1-320UV roll-to-roll UV printer

Both Infiniti (3360uv) and now Flora are trying to produce each of the various kinds of UV printers. So both have launched roll-to-roll UV printers by 2007. But Teckwin is concentrating on hybrid style (TeckSmart 1600uv) and dedicated flatbed printers (TeckUV S3000). Only now, in 2009, is Teckwin launching a roll-to-roll UV (first seen at Shanghai 2009).

The market for roll-to-roll UV printers is not in Latin America, Asia or other countries with low-bid competition for billboard printing. These countries still use primarily cheap solvent ink printers.

The primary market for roll-to-roll UV printers is in some parts of Europe and gradually in the US. Most of these companies prefer a reliable UV roll-fed printer and thus are tending to choose a NUR Expedio, Gandinnovations Jeti RtR, or Durst Rho 320R, Durst Rho 351R.

ShenZhen Runtianshi Image Technology Co., Ltd. also manufacturers two printers for DuPont (Cromaprint 22uv and Cromaprint 18uv) as well as two cheap entry level printers for Raster Printers (Daytona and RP-720 UVZ). Most of these Flora-related UV printers had issues their first several years. Current models are improved, and all brands have growing pains (even Durst Rho 600 printers took over four months to get fully up and running after one company bought this European made printer). So Chinese printers are not the only ones with problems.

ShenZhen Runtianshi also manufactured two solvent printers for DuPont, but that solvent project was cancelled by DuPont.

The Flora F1-320UV was new in 2007 and is not offered either by Raster Printers or DuPont.
