FLAAR begins to evaluate the EFI H1625 LED uv combo roll to roll printer Print E-mail

The roll-to-roll plus flatbed EFI VUTEK H1625 LED has a print width of 165 cm with a 5.08 cm media thickness, being able to print on flexible and rigid substrates. It uses CMYK plus two white Efi ink, with Toshiba printheads and a dropsize of 6 picolitters.

This printer has the advantage of using LED lamps to print with a high-intensity spot-curing, being an eco-friendly printer, with the same capacity as a cured with mercury lamps, with the ability of printing on premium rigid and soft-signage applications.

Entry to Mid-Range (transport belt flatbed printers)

For the world of EFI VUTEk grand format this is one of their entry to mid-range printers. The EFI H652 would be the entry level. The benefits of entering the world of UV-cured flatbed and/or combo transport belt UV-cured printers via EFI is that you are then part of the EFI family.

Many years ago revitalized ColorSpan UV-cured printers were the entry-level into the world of HP. From entry level you could graduate to rebranded NUR or rebranded Scitex Vision printers. But none of those grand format UV-cured printers have been available for several years. In distinction, in these same years EFI VUTEk has launched both upgraded versions of their successful models as well as additional new models.

The benefit of EFI is that all their printers are integrated into an inter-related system. Other companies simply rebrand from other factories, their entry-level are not designed nor engineered by the brand name (they are simply re-named and painted a new color). With EFI VUTEk, even if a printer comes from another brand, it is part of the EFI family in terns of software and solutions.

Most companies who are about to buy their first UV-cured printer tend to select an economical model so they can learn this UV-curing technology. Then they upgrade to a new model. With EFI VUTEk, you can upgrade every few years and benefit from being within the comparable parameters of operating systems. So there are definite advantages considering an EFI VUTEk as your first UV-cured printer investment.
