This combo style UV printer has had different names at each trade show: first Flora FUV2500, F2514SE and at DRUPA ‘08 it was called the Flora 25UV. This is the printer that DuPont paid to develop; but then DuPont closed its UV printer division because of high costs of tech support for their other OEM rebranded Flora printers: the DuPont Cromaprint 22uv.

So ShenZhen Runtianzhi Image Technology Co. Ltd. inherited this printer. They showed the Flora FUV2500, F2514SE at ISA '08, looking for distributors for this model.

The Flora F1 180uv is distributed under the Raster Printers Daytona H700uv brand name.

The DuPont Cromaprint 18uv (made by Flora) is sold by LexJet as their Legend 72HUV.

We have no FLAAR Report on the Flora F 25UV, FUV2500, F2514SE because all reports from 2007 onward are done primarily in the manufacturer's demo room at their factory headquarters.

But there are plenty of FLAAR Reports on other combo style printers with moving transport belts: the Durst Rho 800 Presto and Rho 351R are based on an entire week at Durst factories and demo rooms in Europe.

FLAAR Reports on the NUR Expedio Revolution and NUR Expedio Inspiration UV printers are based on two intense trips to the NUR factory and headquarters in Israel: two days each visit.

FLAAR Reports on GCC StellarJet 250 are based on a week in Taiwan as well as inspecting this printer in the real-world at a printshop. A newer model combo printer is now available, the GCC StellarJet K100UV.

FLAAR Reports on IP&I are based on visiting IP&I for several days in Korea as well as doing a site-visit case study of their CUBE 260 printers in actual printshops. So we know how they really function in the real world.

FLAAR Reports on Dilli Titan M, Dilli Neo Plus, and Dilli Neo Venus printers are based on two days inspecting their R&D facilities and factory in Korea.

As soon as it is possible to visit the ShenZhen Runtianzhi Image Technology Co. Ltd. factory and headquarters we will issue reports on their printers. I have been to the Teckwin factory and we are frequently updating our reports on Teckwin UV printers as a result.

This model is no longer available new, but you might find it as a used printer. Regardless of what brand and model, before buying any used printer, we recommend that you realize spare parts may be an issue for printers no longer manufactured. Plus, the main reason why a model is retired is because engineers have developed new (and hopefully better) printheads, ink delivery systems, substrate transport systems, etc. So what may have been an acceptable printer when it was fresh and new, may be not as viable today.

Plus undersand that there are so many old models that it is not realistic for us to update each and every web page going back so many years. So if you need personal assistance, to decide which used printer is worth the risk, you can hire Dr. Nicholas Hellmuth for a personalized consultancy.
